Founded in 1860, Pirotecnia Zaragozana is one of the oldest companies on the Spanish pyrotechnic scene. It began life as a small workshop in a rural area of Zaragoza run by Ángel Sanz, and over the years it has transformed into a true fireworks factory, always managed by the same family.
This tradition, handed down from generation to generation, combined with continuous innovation, has made the name of Pirotecnia Zaragozana synonymous with prestige and high quality all over the world. Over the course of its long history, it has won numerous internationally recognised prizes and awards.
In 2014 the company joined the Etienne Lacroix group, which has been present in the pyrotechnic industry since 1739. Both entities share the same values of independence, ethics and excellence, and this union has granted Pirotecnia Zaragozana greater development capacity on both an industrial and commercial level within the group. Its subsidiary, Ruggieri, indisputable European leader in the production of pyrotechnic displays, provides access to additional technical and artistic resources, bringing its globally acquired experienced to Pirotecnia Zaragozana’s shows.
